cheap replacement for the original.
My mom vacuumed over the original sensor cable :-(

I actually have the wireless one by neko that's much larger and heavier than this one and the original one, but no one seems to like using it. Of course I know why that is. It was great when I first got it, but one fall off the TV (5' drop) and the Neko timer would never go off, so you had to pull the batteries out to turn it off. It turned into a battery hog.

We've only had this one for two weeks now with no complaints. I love the little stand that comes with it. You can permanently mount the stand in your default location and easily take off the sensor incase you need to pack it to go out. Don't know why nintendo didn't think of that. It's slightly larger than the wii sensor bar.

Used with travel bag
We bought this to go along with the travel bag for Wii that is also available on Amazon. It came with a wireless one but it did not work well at all. We are please with the wired version

Works perfectly
When I first purchased our WII, I ran over the last cord with the vacuum cleaner, Oops! We bought a wireless bar to try it out and for the most part it works fine, but it goes through batteries way too quickly. I decided to go back to wired and bought this and am very glad I did.

This bar works perfectly and the response is milli-seconds away from being exact to movement. The cord is extra long too, so that systems can sit much farther away from the tv. I also love the fact that this comes with a stand for the bar to sit on, as it keeps it from sliding around and to sit up higher for better aim. The price is right too!

Works Fine
Just what the description was. Works fine. Will buy again from them
Fast delivery.

Works just fine!
This company's shipping really surprised me for standard shipping. The bar was well wrapped in bubble wrap. I see absolutely no difference between this one and the original. Great price, works great, and fast shipping. Win/win.

Life-like, high-polygon, motion-captured characters designed by renowned artist Tetsuya Nomura Dolby Digital 5.1 channel Surround EX compatible Enchanting musical score, with tracks featuring a distinct Japanese Okinawan flavor
Amazon.com Review:
Each installment of the Final Fantasy series has featured strong storytelling, characterization, and strategic combat, fun minigames, and hours upon hours of captivating gameplay. The 10th title in the series is no exception. This is the first time a Final Fantasy game has appeared on the PlayStation2, and it takes full advantage of the increased technical capabilities.

The story this time concerns Tidus, a blond-haired star of a sport called Blitzball. While he is playing in a match, Tidus's city is attacked by an evil force called Sin, and everything is destroyed save Tidus and his guardian Auran. The adventure begins as the pair are somehow transported to another world. From here on, it's standard Final Fantasy gameplay: fight battles, manage experience points, learn new powers, and recruit a motley crew of nonplayer characters to join your quest.

The graphics, however, take things to a new level. They are amazing not only for their realism, but also for their imaginative art design. The world these heroes inhabit is breathtakingly beautiful, flowing, and full of inventive surprises. You haven't lived until you've surfed cables high in the air, or ridden a graceful airship through the clouds. The stunning effects are on display when you use magic in combat, summon gigantic monsters, and use fire columns to devastate your foes.

One new element is voice acting. The innovation yields predictably mixed results: it's wonderful to hear spoken dialogue rather than read subtitles, but as with most games translated from Japanese, the acting is mediocre and sometimes unintentionally hilarious.

Still, the game's new graphics engine and solid gameplay are sure to please fans of the series waiting to see what Square has in store for them. While Final Fantasy X doesn't offer much innovation, it also doesn't disappoint. And fortunately, with Final Fantasy XI already in development, the title is still a misnomer. --Andrew S. Bub

Pros:

  • Gorgeous graphics
  • Epic story line
  • Voice acting
Cons:
  • Little innovation
  • The voice acting is sometimes laughable

Best game of this decade
I've played the top games of every mainstream console this decade. The only one that was able to penetrate through my all time favorites was this one. I could go on and on about how every single technical detail of this game is outstanding - but the main reason I love Final Fantasy X is the atmosphere: The feelings all the different levels and the wonderful music arouse are ineffable.

Best Video Game of This Genre Ever
This is my favorite role playing game ever, and I've played most of them from way back in the beginning with Dragon Warriors and the First Final Fantasy, Dragon Heart, and many, many others. I've played this game several times, and in a way it's spoiled me for other games. I haven't really been happy with any game I've purchased since this one, including Final Fantasy XII. If anybody out there loves role playing games and hasn't played this, you have missed the greatest game of all. The graphics are terrific and the game has a plot and a love story and a surprise ending. Everything missing in regular games.

Eh..
I got this game back in '01. I never finished it because for some reason, the final boss was impossible to beat (and I was way ahead in levels). I did love the storyline, and the characters were great! Really, had they waited to finish the actual game instead of putting it out early... it would have been perfect. The graphics are... not so great, but the CG cutscenes and the ability to replay them later on is just... awesomeness.

Did I mention Seymour Guado? GAH. Will Final Fantasy ever stop making me fall in love? And will Square Enix ever decide to focus a game on the "bad guy?"

best game ever
I know it's my opinion and I say this is the best game on the ps2 console. If you love RPG's, this is a must have!

My Favorite Game
This is my favorite game! I had to write a review for it.

Positives:

-This game has incredible graphics and unique characters. It is a HUGE step up in graphics/audio from previous final fantasies and better story and characters than the newer final fantasies.

-The aeons that you summon are awesome and very useful in the game. Although be sure to change the options to short animation after you are done seeing the aeon summoning scene enough, this will save you lots of time.

-The soundtrack is awesome and the characters are interesting.

-Lots of side games, hidden areas, extras. Highly re-playable

-Challenging bosses at times that you will have to prepare for before fighting.

Downsides:

-There are a LOT of cut scenes that you can't skip and some people complain that is like watching a movie rather than playing a game. I found that these scenes added to the game and the story a lot.

-There are somewhat challenging/annoying puzzles in each temple, but there are great FAQ's at [...] that can walk you through if you get stuck.

-Some of the characters voices are annoying such as Tidus, Yuna, Rikku etc. but the other characters make up for it and are funny/cool such as Auron, Wakka, Lulu.

-I found the blitzball to be the worst part of the game, it is boring and difficult to win, yet you only HAVE to play one or two times, playing it again is optional.

- The leveling up system is different and some people do not like it, but I found it okay and easy to use.

Verdict:
This game is a treasure with a great soundtrack and memorable story/characters. I ended up learning a few of the songs on guitar and piano. It is a must have for any ps2 owner.

Monopoly

Monopoly

Monopoly
Binding: CD-ROM
Manufacturer: Atari
Product Description:
Old version of monopoly for the kids to enjoy and destroy!
Amazon.com Review:
Searching for new thrills in your pursuit of pure capitalist success? If you can limit at least some of your ambitions to a board game, you're in luck. Monopoly is here, and with integrated Internet connectivity, you can now challenge other Monopolists worldwide.

The classic game--updated for the PC--still gives you all the satisfaction of being the proprietor of Park Place and Boardwalk. It also lets you weasel your way out of jail with a thin excuse for a card in your (virtual) hands. Keeping to the visual appeal of its 1930s characters, the software also boasts animated versions of favorite board pieces.

While Monopoly is obviously a strong choice for a family of players, don't kid yourself that you'll beat the game every time in solo play. If you're not paying close attention, the package's superior A.I. engine is likely to see that you'll wind up broke. This is a rare success story of a classic game that makes the jump to a new medium. The creators of Monopoly deserve a firm handshake and slap on the back, and a big roll of funny paper money. --Jennifer Buckendorff

Monopoly
Earlier version better as it included board editor where you could create your own street names. Otherwise, still a very enjoyable game.

Loaded Dice?
I'm not sure what's wrong with the dice generator on this game or how the odds are stacked. However, I bought this game to have a little fun with a computer opponent(one). Everyone knows that if you play again one opponent the game will go faster. So I like to just spend a short time(an hour or less playing). However I find that when I play against one computer opponent I will usually lose. For example the computer will usually get first roll and will usually get all properties of one color first. If you don't mind losing time and time again (you're a little masochistic) then this is fun. I have looked for updates or patches to this program but have never seen any that will balance the lopsided 'luck' that the computer usually has. I must say then that the computer has 'loaded dice.' Has anyone else had the same experience? Is this problem corrected in newer versions? I'll give it two stars for the ability to play online against a human opponent but the computer opponent's 'luck' knocks off 4 stars
Addition: The computer doesn't follow Monopoly rules as well. It is illegal to buy houses during another player's turn. Yet the computer buys houses without regard to the rules!

Wonderful rendition of the original board game
The Monopoly software really enhances the game. It is full of creative animations and also allows you to play on many different boards based on different cities (I like this feature), and also allows you to design your own board and play on it. However, Mr. Monopoly's commentary becomes annoying after a while, especially his usually stupid comments about what number you rolled. (You can turn this off though.) Also, the board on the screen spontaneously rotates in full 3D. This gets me dizzy much of the time. So if you like Monopoly the board game and don't have motion sickness, you should play this.

Like the game, but..
I happen to like playing Monopoly. But when you play this game against the computer opponents, you are in for a strange ride. The computer opponents will mortgage all their properties to fund a monopoly they may have just gotten. Then it would take forever for the computer player to buy houses and hotels.
The computer players hardly ever trade among themselves. After playing the game a few times, I got to where I knew how the computer would react.
I also found that I enjoyed playing the game a lot more when I turned off the token voices and Mr Monopoly's commentary.
Still, this game is a good way to knock off a couple of hours. The rules are pretty basic, and straightforward.
Overall, I would recommend getting this game, as long as you're not expecting too much.

Very fun but could be better
I love this game. My only suggestion is that the houses and hotels should look like houses and hotels instead just like the game board tokens. The properties run the spectrum from landfill to high end real estate so it'd be more fun to see a realistic building(s)that corresponds to the property. Even better would be several building styles from which to choose.

Great Service
Everything deleiver as ordered, on time. Easy install. Works as expected. Fun for all.

Pretty Happy
I would have preferred to get other games with the bundle, but this was the only thing in stock. It arrived on time exactly as was promised! Overall very satisfied.

Nintendo Wii Console
I purchased the Nintendo Wii through Amazon.com from a third party vendor. I am very very pleased with the product. I was really surprised to receive the Wii three days after I ordered it, especially since I live in Arizona and the seller is in Virginia. The Ice Age 2 game came within two days after purchase from another vendor. I chose this particular seller because of a large number of very positive reviews from other buyers. Please add my positive review to the others.

Excellent
This is the best game system going. It actually gets you up and moving. While not as strenuous as regular excercise it is a great change from the sedentary games that have you just sit and let your fingers do all the work.

Make a big difference
I bought this to help improve the reception for my Wii because I have a projection T.V. and by placing the sensor bar on the top the reception sucked and there was no-where to put it on the bottom so this little gadget has done the job with flying colors. Its is a asset to the game and is imperative to have if you have a projection T.V. and no-where to attach the sensor bar this product does it flawlessly and with style; it is also adjustable so you can get the best reception possible.

HELP?
Can anyone please explain to me how i plug in this mat. It clearly states that this is for the wii but the plug that is attached does not fit anything that i own, the controllers nor the wii itself....Am I missing parts or an adapter

Wii Dancing Mat
Wii Dancing Mat did not work. I hooked it up to my Wii and attempted to play Dance Dance Revolution. The mat didn't do anything but lay on the floor. I stepped on the arrows to use as a controller and nothing happened. Very unhappy with this purchase. My money was returned but I was unable to exchange for a new mat.

Not working
I was not able to use it because did not work at all. I'm tired of buy stuff online that i have to return it because are damage and not working properly.

I haven't return it because is not worth it to spend more money to return it.

Dance pad for dance dance revolution
Great to have 2 pads to have a dance off between 2 people, instead of watching someone dance away. Great way to exercise, and good fun for the whole family.

Doesn't work with DDR2
The Wii Dancing Mat does not work with my DDR2 dance program but works fine with the original DDR. I didn't realize this or I would not have bought it. it's now too late to return it. I agree with the other reviews that it does move around.

The Story of Mao, a Demon Gone Bad
Set in and around the ‘Nether Institute, Evil Academy,’ the demon version of the preppiest of prep schools, Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice follows the puzzling decision of Mao, son of the Overlord of the Netherworld, who after reading a manga comic book decides to forsake his proper demonic upbringing, become a hero and attempt to overthrow his father. But in the backwards world of demon scholastics where good is bad and bad is good, Mao is a top honor student. He knows all about ditching school, being totally unhelpful and quickly resorting to violence, but nothing of the selfless nobility and patience of heroes. Heroes are for delinquents, as the number one delinquent of the Nether Institute, Raspberyl and her friends try to tell him. But Mao’s mind is made up. It's a hero he will be.

Flow of Gameplay: Events ⇒ Base ⇒ Battle ⇒ Repeat
Events: Players advance through the game as events unfold. These events can occur during the story, at your base, or before/after battles. You will be able to witness the fun and interesting interactions through a mixture of sprite animation and exciting character battles.

Base: Mao's school, the Nether Institute, Evil Academy is the base point of the game. Players will be able to prepare for upcoming battles here by purchasing new weapons and items, customizing characters and/or restoring health.

Battle: You will be fighting against enemies in battle scenes with a quarter view, tactical simulations. The goal is to defeat all of the enemies before all of your team members die. Battles utilize a turn-based system, where all of your team members will have their turn to attack before enemies begin theirs.

Character Customization: The Evility System
Character customization is crucial in all role-playing games. Absence of Justice allows for maximum character customization through its "Evility System." There are two different categories of evilities: evility that is already set for each character depending upon the jobs of each and evility that players can customize. Customizable evilities include: evility to acquire the special skills for certain weapons, evility to up character status under certain requirements, evility to up the amount of experience points earned, evility to enable special skills and functions, etc. This variety is powerful and important. You may have only one kind of evility that supports a character's status, but you may have multiple evilities for skills. Use this system to create and customize your characters and ideally group multiple evilities in one to conduct battles more efficiently.

The Disgaea 3 Battle System
Combat in Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice consists of a combination of the franchises familiar standard system of attacks, along with a whole new array of moves debuting with the game. This wide range of possibilities allows players to pick and choose tactics that suit the immediate conflict before them or to quest for overall success in the game, and maximum fun by attemping to master all. Attacks and skills include:
  • Team Attack - Use up to four adjoining team members to help you attack adjoining enemies. Although this may seem random, it is actually closely connected with the team members you have selected in class and their special skills.
  • Combos - Combos happen when multiple team members attack the same enemy during a single turn. They can occur even when team members are not on adjoining squares and their effectiveness increases with the number of occurring combos.
  • Lift and Throw - Humanoid characters have the ability to lift and throw enemies or teammates. The distance of a throw depends on the thrower and lifted team members are safe from attack, making this a key defensive tactic.
  • Stack Attack - If you keep using the lift command, you will be able to create a tower of characters. Select the attack command while in that state and all stacked characters will begin to attack. The larger the stack the higher the damage to your enemies.
  • Double Throw - If one of your characters stacked in a tower selects the "throw" command you can choose to throw any of the stacked characters. This is a useful skill when you want to reach a floor that is too high to reach on your own.
  • Throw and Receive - Useful in moving long distances, when you throw a character towards a monster teammate he/she will knock the thrown character further away in the direction faced.
  • Geo Effect - The combination of geo panels and geo blocks is called the 'Geo Effect.' The special effect of a block on top of a panel will affect all panels of the same color. You gain the power of those effects by landing on the right block.
  • Uniting Skills - If you meet certain requirements during a combo, two skills will unite into one, increasing damage and depending on the skills will increase the effectiveness of your combo.
  • Magichange - Magichange allows humanoid characters and monster characters to to fight as one. In doing this the monster will turn into a special weapon for the human to wield and in the process increase the power of both.
Will Mao be able to become a hero and defeat the Overlord? Or will Raspberyl and the demon delinquents convince him to return to his honor role ways? It all depends on you, and so the troublesome, devilish story begins.

The Best Entry in the Series to Date
Disgaea 3 carries on the tradition of the series, taking the game play to new heights of absurdity. The game is primarily based on the upgrades made in the second title, but streamlines them, thankfully without dumbing anything down. Some of the late-game tedium was eliminated, and the whole system of reincarnating and customizing your characters is more flexible than ever, sharing some traits with the related system in the spin-off Makai Kingdom.

The game's graphics are still pretty much PS1 quality, and indeed, a few sprites from the first game are still in use, along with many from the second, though there are many new monsters and characters to encounter as well. Though a little on the expensive side, the DLC options allow you to customize your experience further by adding characters from many of their other titles to your roster. These characters bring unique abilities, some of which can be transferred to your other characters, giving you more options to build your ultimate characters.

The Homeroom and class committees add terrific new short-cuts, such as allowing you to reassign the master/pupil relationships at any time, and even allow certain characters to share EXP or Mana gain with those adjacent to them, helping to level up characters still too frail for the power leveling maps.

The Dark World returns as the X-Dimension, and instead of the Evil Sun, you will have to contend with radically changed level layouts, and brutal new Geopanels. Many of the levels are actually complex Geopanel puzzles, sometimes with only a single enemy, the trick being to figure out how to reach them, or make them vulnerable.

Although the main story can be completed in roughly 20 hours, I have already played the game for 107, and I am nowhere near having completed all of the challenges and alternate maps. I don't even have the Land of Carnage unlocked. Disgaea is truly a game that is not over until you decide you've had enough. Even if you defeat the Tyrant Overlord, there's always the LoC version with 20 stronger enemy bills passed. Supposedly he has a billion HP and can deal 2.9 million damage a hit. There's always another challenge awaiting you.

if you have the time
Had fun but not the most challenging of games plus its a great time waster...

The main story started off ok but its got pretty cheesy fast with the same jokes over and over again.

I didn't like it, but others might.
I picked this game up after playing disgaea 2 a little with some of my relatives. 2 seemed okay so i decided to pick this up. Right away, the story seemed a little lame. Mao, the nerdy son of the Overlord, wants to kill his dad. Okay, typical revenge story. He apparently goes to "Evil Academy". When I think Evil Academy, I don't think about not washing hands, it's more blood sacrifice and dark powers. Further on, I get through the some of the story, Mao trying to fit into the "Evil Boy Genius" stereotype. I also get to meet several other characters, including but not limited to; Cliche Goody Two Shoes, Cliche Shy Hero and a strange mixture of Cliche Chef and Cliche Kung fu Master. I played for a while, but Mao never seemed to get any closer to killing his dad. They keep getting sidetracked by fighting the school tournament, the "Hero" title and a dragon egg. When I get a goal in a game, I like feeling like I'm actually getting closer to it with each event. Next, the music in the Evil Academy gets kind of annoying because it's twice as loud as the battle music and is not at all evil. Finally, I got really tired of hear Mao shout "Experiment!" every single time he attacks.
However, the gameplay itself seemed pretty streamlined and easy to figure out. You get a variety of of characters who have a variety of abilities and equipment, the ability to combo characters together, and interesting tile-based affects that change how the each fight can be done. Personally, I liked the fighting and the strategy, but absolutely hated the story.

Hours of fun..you keep coming back!
The Disgaea series is pretty much the only SRPG series that i like. I was never too fond of SRPG's and then i played Disgaea 1 which got me hooked. Still these games, as you should know, can consume 100's of hours of your life. The insane amount of levels you could get(not only your character but items as well!) was what hooked me but theres so much more to do and each addition to the series keeps adding even more!
I would say the 3rd one(this one) has the best gameplay. In terms of characters though i would rank it after Disgaea 1 but better than 2's. The story is alright(somewhat short though) with some neat twists, and the characters voice actors do a good job in my opinion. The graphics are the same as the first two, but Disgaea 4 NIS said will have better graphics. Though i hope its keeps the same charm it has always had. If the graphics discourage from getting this dont let it!! The grinding of levels gets annoying sometimes but i always come back after taking an 1-2 week break. If you like trophy's this game got a patch to include trophies it now has a whole ton of them to earn.
So to recap if you like SRPG's,funny wacky stories, funny characters(prinnys!), and a great bang for your buck you should give this a try!
I personally cant wait till Disgaea 4 hits to see what insane new additions will be added.

Disgaea - Best SRPG Series of All Time
I am a longtime Disgaea fan, and to a larger extent Nippon Ichi fan, since Laharl and co.'s debut in Disgaea: Hour of Darkness. Disgaea 2 kept the series moving forward, and now we have Disgaea 3, arguably the best of the bunch. To write a full review for this game detailing all of it's features would take far too long, suffice it to say this game is packed with literally hundreds of hours of content. This is a game you can play for as long as you want, and will never grow stale, provided you like the core gameplay, which is turn-based strategy at it's very best. Definitely worth a purchase if you are at all interested in this genre. You will not regret your decision!

great! it works, and is well designed...
you pretty much can't ask for more in a product; it does what is says it will.

pros:
1- works
2- the game pad attachments are a clever idea that make this easy to use.
3- power chord is detachable, in case you need to replace it.
4- usb not needed. plugs into wall outlet, and yes, it keeps the pads charged.

cons:
1- lights. the two charging lights are huge and bright. i sharpied over them, and now they don't' stand out too much.

*deducted one star for the large, bright charging lights. otherwise, it's a perfect product.

excellent but short-lived
I have had a Nyko charger for about two years.

It is convenient, low-profile, excellent until it breaks. Nice surface design. Bad quality control.

One of the two charging slots failed within a few weeks of purchase. The second station kept working until last night, when the indicator lights became unstable and one light permanently turned off. So, now down to one charging indicator on one slot. Best bet, the entire unit will fail sooner rather than later.

So, back to the search for a charger that is not dependent on the PS3 being plugged into an active power source.

ps 3 controllers charge station
this is the best ps3 charge station around. you plug in the adapter into the controllers mini USB charging port and then set the controller in the charger and it hits pins to charge. no more possible damage to mini USB port. charger has a light for each controler and is red when charging and green when done. nice on/off switch on charger. the charger has its own power cord, so it can be plugged in somewhere else to end cord clutter. This would make a perfect gift if you are looking to give someone something for their ps3. this is one of the best ideas for a product and one of the best purchases i have made online

Surprisingly Good for What You Pay
For the longest time I've charged one controller at a time with the 3 foot USB cable that came with my PS3. I finally decided to spring for a charger so I could have fully charged controllers without leaving my PS3 on. I've had mine for almost a month now and my favorite feature is the small adapters you plug in on the top of the PS3 controllers instead of dealing with cables. My only real issue with it is that the controllers don't fit snugly into the charger base---only a small amount of force is required to accidentally knock the controller out of the charger. So as long as you keep the charger bay away from a high traffic area (behind the TV or on a shelf), it's a wonderful asset to have.

Good solid product
I'm not a gamer, I've never been good at them, but I am a stickler for quality. This is a very nice charger. I was waiting for a cheap chinese piece of junk, honestly, for the price, but this thing rocks. Only con is will the lad lose the adaptors? I labeled a medicine bottle right away and put them in it for him.

Don't worry about ordering one of these, they're nice. As a side note, the adaptors don't fit his older controllers, which are DreamGEAR. They are curved at the front whereas the Sonys are straight. But they could be made to work with any controller, with a bit of filing on the clear plastic.

not too great
THE CHARGER ITSELF IS FINE, EXCEPT FOR THE BATTERY PACKS, THEY DON'T FIT RIGHT IN THE WII CONTROLLERS SO THEY DON'T WORK.

OK charger
Charges fine, used for about 1 year now.
Cons: Wii remote will not fit if you have a sleeve on it - arghh!
Also, a minor issue, the strap must be fed out the front to seat the remote correctly. My charger is located in a tight spot so it is a hassle to orient the remote and strap to insert.
Docks for the Nunchuks are worthless - just a place to store them. I don't keep mine attached so they are stored in a drawer.
Battery unit fits VERY tight! Hard to install.

Junk
Only one side of the charger would charge. Within a week, the second side stopped charging. The customer service people at the company who make this do not return emails or phone calls. You will get an answering machine, but they will not call back. Repeated emails have not been answered. Don't waste your money.

Nicely organizes Wii Remotes/Nunchucks in one place
Now that we have one that works...it is nice! No problem getting a replacement sent out from Amazon!! The original one we received had a bad battery pack. It would not charge, but Amazon sent out a replacement at no charge (and is paying the shipping to receive the defective one back from us)!!! Very nice for organizing all of the Wii remotes!

Wii remote charger
This is a great product. No more buying tons of batteries. It also holds the nunchucks and it looks really cool!

You get what you pay for.
Sony memory cards may be on the expensive side, but they do indeed give you what you pay for. When saving 1,000's of hours of gameplay to memory, I feel safe with original equipment. I know my existance will be there when I get back.

work good in the PS2
These are a perfect fit for the PS2, and since they are only 8MB, it is a good idea to have 2 memory cards if you have a lot of games, such as I do. Since most games use memory card slot #1, all you have to do is just swap card slots.

Necessary for the PS2, and becoming harder to find.
I bought another brand memory card first, with the same specs, but in use it would not "save" the kids game levels and progress. Once we got this one (mfr. brand) everyone is happy not to lose all their game points and levels. I have found these not to be available in stores lately. So, if you still plan to use your PS2, and need a memory card to "save" games in progress, get 'em while you still can. Maybe get a spare for when one fails.

Good Solid Memory Card
I could state the obvious, that these are so wildly expensive by today's memory standards that it borders on the obscene. I could also state my suspicions that the prices suddenly jumped quite a bit after the PS2 price dropped to 0, but I'm sure somebody else has covered both those already in depth.

I'll say that they seem to be solid and well constructed. They fit just fine into my PlayStation 2 Console, with my Logitech PlayStation 2 Cordless Action Controller. I like the black plastic memory cards better, but I can see how the color helps differentiate without putting a label on them. I've been using one of them now for a few months with no issues. I'm not expecting any problems, they're Sony made afterall.

As your main card or as a backup for important saves, you really should get a branded memory card. I've not had any card ever fail on me, but then again I've never had a memory card until about a year ago. The general concensus seems to be, branded is better than 3rd party.

Small, but reliable
On the one hand, 8MB memory cards seem small and over-priced when compared to after-market 32MB and 64MB cards. With how cheap memory is, I don't know why Sony doesn't make large cards themselves, even at a price premium.

On the other hand, my friends have had after-market memory cards die on them. I've never had a problem with these Sony cards.

Personally, I'd rather spend the extra money to make sure that my saved games are secure.
