good game but a little glitchy
I liked Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2, and since this game was reasonably priced I bought it to understand the references to it in the second game. A fun shooter but there are a few glitches. At times you protect VIPs and they do some strange stuff, like push you from behind cover and exit cover themselves to get killed and fail your mission. For the price, it is worth adding to your collection, just be prepared to put up with the glitches.

Could be really great, but...
I really liked Rainbow Six Vegas 2 so I figured I get this game as well since it's from Tom Clancy and the price is pretty cheap. I think this game could be great. The graphics are nice, the story seems good, and the weapons are fine, too. My biggest problem with this game is the controls. If you are in the campaign/story mode, you cannot adjust the controls to your preferences. This has been difficult for me because I always use the Legacy layout and the game only allows Southpaw. No matter how hard I try, I cannot get used to these controls and so this game is very difficult for me to play. However, when playing multiplayer, you are able to change the controls. I have searched the Internet and haven't found a way to switch the layout from Southpaw to Legacy. Unless there is an update that allows it, this game will probably just sit and collect dust. If you are fine with the Southpaw layout, I would definitely recommend this game.

Great gameplay
GRAW 1 is one of the best games for Xbox. The gameplay is incredible, each map gives you a new way to play and strategize, and the weapons are cool.

What makes this game even better is playing multiplayer on Xbox LIVE. Running team eliminations, capture the flags, or defending territories are a blast with a team. You can even dream up your own game like "president". That's where one player is the president and you have anywhere from 2 to 3 bodyguards (depending on how many are in the room) plus a mole on the other team. You then hide and defend your president from the attacking team. All the while your mole is going around the map killing the attacking team. It's a blast.

Game is A++. And if you like this game then check out GRAW 2.

Solid wargame
I have most of the Recon games in the series and I've enjoyed them all. I think the best part of Advanced Warfighter is the strategy, command options, and realistic fighting sequences (sound effects, explosions, etc). You get to direct your squad throughout the city of Mexico over the course of a few days. If you're looking for a Call of Duty type go in shooting ask questions later approach that doesn't work in this type of game which I do enjoy a change of pace because Recon makes you map out your approach and there are too many corners within the city to ignore possible enemy locations. I think that the Recon game could have a few more boots on the ground in the game. I know the original games for the PC allowed for three teams of two, but may be the next Recon games could return to that and expand to a platoon...

The graphics aren't the best and the online play does not compare to campaign mode. I was hoping the online play would be a little more fun. The good thing about online mode is that you can play with a lot of people in various modes, and you can play multiplayer against AI.

This game is a pain in the neck.
This game is annoying. It really takes work to master all the controls. From aiming, to switching between weapons, reloading, crouching/lying down/taking cover/goggles/battlefield map, etc., etc., this game probably has the most complicated control system of any shooter. Then you have to gain competence deploying all the various resources the game gives you--at the same time, while taking fire from enemies. At many points you command your squad which is walking with you, plus a ground vehicle, plus a helicopter, plus an "eye in the sky" reconnaisance drone! The wheeled vehicle, helicopter and drone have no AI, so they don't do anything unless you command, btw! Not to mention controlling your actual character at the same time.

The other problem is the fact that the character just moves really slowly. He aims slowly, he reloads slowly, he does everything way slowly, and that gets you killed but quick. The aiming is just painfully. freaking. slow. Dudes will blow you away while you try haul your gun around. I'd say the character moves his gun at about 1/2 the speed a person in real life would. When you have the scope up on the rifles, that speed gets cut to about 1/6 the speed it would be in real life. Ridiculously frustrating.

Then there's the fact that you can be blown away with just a couple of shots from enemies whose targeting is impeccable, and who are camouflaged really well. Add to that the fact that it is about 1 million miles and a thousand bad guys between save points, and that any type of healing is even more rare than the save points are!

I like hard games. I really enjoyed Rainbow Six Vegas, for example, depsite the fact that some levels are just killer (like the dark construction site at Dante's!!). But GRAW is just too freaking complicated and difficult in an annoying way. Not in a challenging way--an annoying way. Like when you get continuously blown away and have to restart the level at a point WAAAY back and kill the same 2 dozen dudes all over again. And again. And again. And AGAIN!!!

I've been playing this for quite a while now and despite having long ago mastered all those darn controls and commands, I'm throwing in the towel. Too frustrating.

Good wholesome PS2 game
I bought this as a Christmas gift. The recipient is 11 and he and his 8 year old sister loved it.

Good Game
One of the best Spongbob games ever. Don't agree with the people who gave it a 1 or 2.

Who is this for?
Like many grown ups, I fell in love with Spongebob, Patrick, Sandy, and the rest. It seemed that things were looking up for the ole U S of A if something so interesting and original could catch on with a generation of kids. And so it was a way that I could reach out and bond with the current crop of youngsters. Not having any myself, I originally found myself having a hard time making connections to my new lady friend's six year old. He seemed nice and sociable on the outside, but it was hard for us to be comfortable for long periods. When I found out how much he liked Spongebob, I was willing to watch and it turned out we loved it and loved the same things! Squidward--delicious! Mr Krabs? perfect as he is. And Patrick is so deeply satisfying on so many levels!

There was a time when my lady friend was frustrated that her son and I were so religious about watching Spongebob--so in a way it was a success. But kids can really drive a wedge between members of a couple, and I thought a Spongebob videogame would be a good way of occupying him without it seeming like I was no longer "with" him. Since we both liked the movie, I thought this might be the one.

I imagined that it would be to other video games what the television show is to other kids' shows. But this is a pretty conventional game, which means it is pretty boring for a grown-up. You go around collecting the virtual equivalent of pennies--shiny things not really worth bending over to pick up. But the game is still hard enough to be frustrating for a 6 or 7 year old, and I found myself constantly called over to "help" out. (In fact, even when he didn't call me, it was hard to watch him mess up in a key transition that an adult could manage.) Then I was stuck between a mom and child, both increasingly irritated. I was spending all my time trying to get him over a particular gap, and he felt like he could never be as good as me. But most troubling, this game has that horrible effect like many others of going a wee bit back in time every time you "die," you feel like you are stuck in a time warp. This sort of eternal return might be philosophically interesting, but I don't consider it a fun evening.

This game sticks too close to the conventions. Let's see a Spongebob game that is as radical as the show was--for example, in breaking with the idea of continuity completely! [36]

Great Game, But Not Very Appropriate For It's Age Group
A great game, but a bit hard for the age group it's targeted towards. Some of the levels are hard for me, and I've outgrown Spongebob's age group long ago.

I LOVE THIS GAME!
This is an awesome game. You can break lots of objects and get "Manliness Awards" For the stuff that you break including Stools,Tables,Boxes,Packages of Flour(I don't understand it either....),garbage cans and more. It has REAL scenes from the movie. Some are re-made in video game format, some are the real thing. The first level is called "No Cheese!"
You have to slide, punch and kick the Krusty Krab. The Krusty Krab is a resturaunt that SpongeBob works at. Then you will see the exact same scene that was in the movie about somebody eating a cheeseburger and (gasp!).....NO CHEESE!!!!!!
The next level is called "I'm Ready.....Depression"
In this level you play as Patrick, SpongeBob's Dim-Witted but loveable friend. You have to fight mutated peanut guys with hammers(once again, I do NOT understand)to save spongebob. For he has been kidnapped by giant peanut mutated people!!!!!
There's more....I just haven't played that far........
THANKS FOR READING!

works
If youre like me and got into the guitar games late and bought the guitar hero kit with 1 guitar then bought rock band, you'll need this mic if you wanna wail.
It works, has a long cord, cant complain.

Works Great
I played this with Guitar Hero Smash hits and it works great. No feedback from anybody else just me or my friends; who ever is singing. Cord is long enough to reach through the entire room or if you don't want it in the way you can drag it across the wall and still have room. The delivery time was fast. I also got an email from the company making sure that I got it and if it is running OK.

Great mic!
We bought this mic to replace the original that had a loose wire...it works and sounds great...recommended highly.

Love it... Though not for it's use.
So I had to write this review to say this mic rocks.... And the sad part is I do not use it on my PS3, I am a podcaster and I decided to try this mic one day and have not switched. For the price you can't beat it, I even bought a cool looking stand and now I look so professional. If you would like to hear what it sounds like check out my podcast at [..]

So so..
Is there a better mic then this? I hook up with my home theather system it doesn't sound as good as I thought.

Dumb Accessories
The Wii Surgical Kit accessory is an example of exploitative and wasteful capitalism. One would assume that this accessory would actually DO something to enhance the play-experience of the game Trauma Center....but, sadly, it does not. It's simply a plastic collection of "surgical instruments" that fit together like a swiss army knife, but they don't move, they don't improve your surgical skills, THEY DON'T DO ANYTHING !!! Why would someone knowingly pay almost .00 for worthless plastic? They wouldn't ! It's called - "Make it look cool online and someone will buy it".

COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY !

Adding salt to the wound, is that since I unfortunately put this on my Amazon.com wishlist, one of my poor relatives actually bought it from CTA Digital through Amazon. Of course, CTA Digital won't take it back, or even exchange it for something else. So, I'm stuck with two unsavory options: 1) call my brother in law to get the return slip, acknowledging that it was a dumb gift, or 2) decide that family harmony is more important than .99.

I'll probably stick with option 2.

The game is fum but tools are not worth buying.
DO NOT BUY. You can make your own out of plastic silverware. I thought they were actually controllers needed to play the game. They are only plastic that fits over top the Wii control.

just for fun
My children love to play the trauma game this surgical kit just gave it a little realistic touch!!!

Utter Fail
What a rip off. Not only does this plastic piece of junk add nothing to the game play, it actually interferes with game play. Do not buy!

It's like I AM Derek Stiles.
I always thought Trauma Center was fun and all, but WAY too unrealistic. I mean, slowing time? Super bugs bent on destroying the world? BOOOORING!
But when I started playing with the Wii Surgical Kit I was so emerged in the world of Trauma Center, I could practically hear the sounds of ambulance sirens and drips of interferon in the background.
The syringe looks and feels like a true heroin addicts best friend. Feeling the plunger press down at a realistic rate put me IN the video game. Using the scalpel attachment... that was, like... I mean, I think I actually FELT blood squirt up at me.
My one complaint, though, were the forceps. I just couldn't grip shards of glass well enough with those. They weren't nearly as realistic feeling as the radar scope felt.
Now I must admit, I'm not a doctor. In fact- I have never even played one on TV. But I do know that after playing Trauma Center with the Wii Surgical Kit, I do feel like I've just gone through eight years of medical school.

Great product!!
I've had both the Playstation version of this cable and the Monster version and both provide good image quality but I do believe the Monster cable does a little better on the sound. Even though it's not high def the sound seemes a little better than what a normal cable can provide.

pretty good product
good product, HDMI is better, this is pretty cheap now, but get HDMI if you have option, seems like very good quality

Honest Review on Monster Component PS3 Cable
Well, I bought the Slim PS3 120 gig last week, It was hard to find where I live, and I knew going in that it only had composite a/v cord, so I did what any tech guy would do, I ordered some friggin cables.

I bought a HDMI cable cheap from amazon.com that 4 dollar one that is so popular on here, I bought a Optical Cable for Digital Audio. Once again from here. Then I thought I was good to go, little did I know PS3 and Samsung tv's dont match well when it comes to HDMI, my HDMI connection doesn't work, so I bought this cable, (Monster Component PS3 cable) I chose this one instead of the one made for the ps3 which the seller also carries, but I decided to buy the monster because retail wise this one cost 50 bucks vs. 30 retail for the ps3 brand component cable. So I figured the more expensive the more quality. Well I dont know how good the component cable for the ps3 brand is, but this Monster Component cable works AMAZINGLY. The difference between Composite and Component cables are like night and day. The picture is so much vivid and a feast for the eyes. I also own a xbox 360 which is connected to my HDTV via component cable aswell and I must say the PS3 looks allot more Sharper for HD Gaming at least for playing the only game I play for the PS3, Socom Confrontation, wow, its very sharp. I love the graphics and the smoothness of the picture. I would Recommend this cable to anyone that wants HD Gaming and cant get HDMI to work with their HDTV and PS3 or that dont have a HDMI Input on their TVs. The Picture quality is amazing, I cant review on the sound of the cables which I think come with the cable patch, I just use the video aspect of the cables, I use Sony's Optical Cable (toslink) for my PS3s Audio with my Surround Sound System. Great Combo, Component Video and Optical(toslink)for Audio.

So If you want a good cable buy this one, its only 11 bucks with shipping included.

Its like butter.
You take the cable out of the box, you hook up the ends to where they go, and you're done. Boom, your PS2/PS3 looks better dude. F the pack-in composite cables, this is where its at. Its like the real people.

Horrible
My HDTV has periodic flashes where the screen goes black with this cable. It's fine for rpgs and such, but really annoying for sports games and shooters. I tested another cable, so it's definitely this defective cable's fault. It's cheap, but get something that works.

Good Product
This gun looks and feels great! Much better than the wii zapper from nintendo. The only problem is that the trigger gets stuck. It was a quick fix though, i just removed the connecting screws and stretched out the spring inside. After putting back the stretched spring, the trigger was much better. Good product, would have been great if the trigger didnt need modification.

Shotgun Accessory for wii
Christmas present for my husband. It's great. It can be used with several hunting games as well as target games. I have used it, kids-great extra to have.

Not impressed
There is not much to say. Just a gun shaped holder for the wii controllers. The site (which is a function of the Wii and not the gun) needs major improvements. I think the gun serves the purpose it is designed for, but it was a little pricy, for what it is.

Not great for Cabela's game
I bought this gun to use with the Cabela's Big Game, but it is not easy to use with the game. We ended up playing without the gun because it is hard to access all of the controls with the gun and you can't even aim and shoot it like a real gun, which really just defeats the whole purpose of using it in the first place. Overall, I would not recommend buying it, at least not for the Cabela's game. Maybe it works better with different games.

works great
bought for a christmas present for our adult son and he said the gun works great and is able to be used for a number of games. He is thoroughly satisfied!

As its name implies, The Force Unleashed completely re-imagines the scope and scale of the Force by taking full advantage of newly developed technologies that will be seen and experienced for the first time: Digital Molecular Matter (DMM), by Pixelux Entertainment, and euphoria by NaturalMotion Ltd. Paired with the powerful Havok Physics system. DMM incorporates the physical properties of anything in the environment so that everything reacts exactly like it should - wood breaks like wood, glass shatters like glass, plants on the planet Felucia bend like plants on the planet Felucia would, and more. Meanwhile, as a revolutionary behavioral-simulation engine, euphoria enables interactive characters to move, act and even think like actual human beings, adapting their behavior on the fly and resulting in a different payoff every single time.

Game Features:
  • During the period between Episodes III and IV, players hunt Jedi in the role of Darth Vader's Secret Apprentice.
  • Unleash and upgrade the Secret Apprentice's four core Force powers - Force push, grip, repulse and lightning - throughout the course of the game, and combine them for ultra-destructive, never-before-seen combos.
  • Examples of unleashing the Force in ways never thought possible:

Be the Sith!
Ever want to be Darth Vader? Use the Force to throw Stormtroopers? Now you can! Star Wars: The Force Unleashed lets you play as a Dark Jedi and you kill anyone and anything in your way. I haven't had this much fun with a Star Wars game since Dark Forces.

I think some of the other reviewers are right in that the game controls are awkward - particularly those bloody camera angles. I did take a star down for that. However, I haven't found it too difficult so far. It just takes a bit of getting used to. I spent some time in the training room first.

However, I don't think the criticism about it being too easy is justified. I think the point of an easier game is to let casual gamers play as well. The game does have different levels, so if Padawan is too easy, you can try Sith Lord difficulty.

For the price (just 18 dollars!), Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is a good deal of fun.

Goes Fast
This game delivers in terms of technology and advancements in Star Wars Games, however, the sloppy plot and the loose ends leaves me expecting something more...

Freaking Impressive!
I didn't expect much out of this game really. It's a scaled back version on an older system. I got it because I had a gift card and nothing else looked moderately interesting. Dang that was a good decision! The first thing that hit me were the graphics. I didn't think you could pull off this level of graphics on a PS2 without slowdown, but they sure did. I can't remember one bit of slowdown the entire time I played. Quite impressive considering all the things on screen.

The problems come in three basic categories.

1) Game Length - The game is short, plain and simple. I beat it in maybe seven hours. You can die as often as you like and won't cost you much. Things stay damaged so you don't have to re-fight the same guys again. You could wear down groups that way, but there's little reason. The game is fairly easy on the whole. Many battles come down to just swinging your lightsaber like crazy and most boss battles are interchangeable.

2) Camera - In a word, the camera "sucks". It swings around wildly, the lock-on loses target or at least doesn't lock on, and the right analog stick feels like it moves the camera in the opposite direction it should. Overall, I found the camera to cause most of my deaths.

3) Targeting - I mention this separately from the camera lock-on, because it's not always where your camera is pointing. You can think you're facing at an enemy, but you suddenly attack to the left or right. This didn't happen often, but was annoying. I noticed it quite a bit trying to toss Tie fighters into tractor beam generators towards the end. It's also a major pain to take down flying enemies in the heat of battle, because you'll have a very hard time targeting and attacking them.

The good still outweighs the bad as far as I'm concerned. You get the best StarWars feel since the Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic and Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords, possibly even better. You shoot lightning, deflect blaster fire, hold and choke enemies, even throw your lightsaber and impale them. You even have a decent amount of energy to power the Force, so you don't feel like some normal fighter with a few magic attacks. You'll be hooked the first time you run into a room, electrocute 3 guys, pick another up and toss him off a balcony, and then finish off the last guy with your lightsaber. Cool!

If you like StarWars at all and have a PS2, Force Unleashed is a no brainer. Heck, it's worth getting this version just because your pilot Juno Eclipse is (in my opinion) way hotter in this one. Yeah, it's cartoony, but she doesn't have that creepy "almost" lifelike look from the other games and she even loses the jacket for the last half of the game. Let's hear it for eye candy!

Seriously though, it's a good game. Rent first if you want, but give it a try.

Good game but not as cool as it looks
The game is fun but the graphics aren't very good. Your force power are awesome but aren't very powerful. You have to just hack away for a minute to kill a guy. They make you really powerful but they the people you fight more powerful. You have to electrocute a storm trooper for 20 seconds just to kill him. But overall it is a good and worth the money.

Hopes so very high, should have waited for the $[...] Greatest Hits...
All the hype, all the showiness, and for what? Letdown. That is what hype always does to the best of games (except for the truly great ones). But what was one to expect from a game being released on 3+ consoles? That should have been the first clue to us all that Lucusarts was really trying to pull a bit of a fast one. But on to the review.

First of all, the concept is absolutely great. Period. I loved the idea and truly I loved the game play for the first couple of missions. Now I can deal with the PS2 graphics and ok, so you couldn't do the amazing voice acting with the amazing nearly realistic cutscenes. Ok, but I was expecting so much more than a hack of the story line. It felt so rushed and the action between the story became monotonous. Even the plot twists were very staged feeling. Sorry Lucasarts, but you just hacked a ton of fans with mediocre antics that you should have never entertained.

Don't get me wrong, this game was entertaining, but after beating it in some 12hrs. I wanted to throw my controller at my TV. I was disgusted that the most interesting storyline ever was dealt such a raw hand. If it would have been executed with just a touch more art and class, all the rest of the game's downfalls would have been alleviated.

Bottom line, I feel cheated and dirty. My favorite childhood universe was turned into a cash cow and a what could have been a truly compelling story was an abbreviated monotonous mess...

Pros
-truly different gameplay that starts out very fun
-customization is a nice touch
-makings of a great story
-music was truly inspiring

Cons
-gameplay became uninspired after a few missions
-story was rushed, lacking artful development
-cutscenes (real ones people) would have added so much
-dirty, used feeling once the end credits role
