To Wii Points or not to Wii Points? That is the question.
First, let me say I have purchased Wii points in the past. It was a mistake, but I didn't know that you can just buy them on the console directly. Buying Wii Points for yourself if you are an adult is a waist of time and money. I am 31, I own a Wii, and I love playing a lot of older games. The idea behind Wii Points is as a gift for someone else, or if your a child/teenager that doesn't have a credit/debt card you can buy them with cash at the store. But for all you adults out there (and I know that you're looking), you can just buy points on the console directly with a credit/debt card and cut out your wait time completely.

P.S. on a personal note, if any of my friends or family ends up reading this, yes, this is a great gift for me! Wii 2000 Points Card


Don't buy it from here
It makes no sense to buy this piece of plastic inscribed with a code, accreting an unnecessary shipping charge. Buy it in a store, or buy Wii Shop points through your Wii itself. Why isn't the code itself downloadable, like digital music? Why pay a shipping charge for a piece of plastic on which this code is printed? You could spend that on 500 more Wii Shop points if you did it online! It makes absolutely no sense to buy this through Amazon.com!

useless
This adapter does not do what it advertises. The address given with the shipment does give you the drivers to download and the ZDWLAN utility. The utility is absolutely useless if you have Vista. It is not compatable at all. I went through the windows utlities and got everything set up but this adapter does NOT have the range. It has to be within 3 feet of what ever you want to link to the wireless network. Pay the extra and get a wireless router. Do not buy this. Unless you wish to be frustrated for hours.


not worth the money
I would NOT get this!!! It has a very weak signal!! I was just a few feet away. I got it from a diffrent web site for .00 and i didn't get the cd that went with it. so i was pritty much just screwed good thang i didn't pay alot for it. Not worth the money!!


Clueless
Used this product to try and get online with PS3, no luck. The network appeared on PS3, but it would always time out trying to connect.


Hard to set up.
The Wifi USB connector was very hard to set up. Windows warned me that it is not a Microsoft compatible product, though it seems to work fine.

I spent about 3-4 hours trying to get it to connect to the internet. I had to create a network bridge and make sure it was set as an access point. The manual isn't very helpful, it tells you what should happen, but not what to do if it doesn't happen.

After the initial set-up, it works quite well with my Nintendo DS and Wii.


Never had it
After I purchased this item, a few days later I got notification that it was out of stock and they refunded my money back to my account. I went to a GameStop to purchase it and they guys who work there (who have the best interest to sell you everything they have) told me that the item is not worth it. I'm better off just connecting the Wii to my wireless router at home. Which I did, and it works perfectly. The item is not really needed.

Nice Product
It is a nice product, it works perfectly. I have to say that it was a little bit difficult to configure it but after that, using Planex usb wi fi was very easy. It works perfectly with my nintendo wii and my laptop.

NOT A SMART PURCHASE
I consider myself moderately computer savvy. I purchased this for my children so that I could Wifi their Nintendo DS's. After many, many hours of trying to configure, I finally gave up. There was virtually no product support. Adapter is back in box -- I recommend researching the compatibility of your computer system, internet connection, etc. before purchasing.

DO NOT BUY
As said, this is a 100% rip-off.
You can buy the nunchuck for 20 bucks and the 2000 Wii points card for 20 bucks. That will be 40 bucks.
This package is 48 dollars, I have no idea where the other 8 came from.

It is cheaper to just buy the two individually.


Not very good for 2 main reasons
This idea to combine the Wii Nunchuck and the Wii points card is not a good one especially if it costs .99 USD.
The 2 main reasons why this is a bad idea
1. They both cost USD individually.
2. Wii Points card is used for the Wii virtual console, Internet Channel, and other things that the Nunchuck isn't even used in. So a combo pack of 2 really makes no sense

I think I'll buy these individually.

Perfect!! Just in time for Christmas.
I was going to get my kid a nunchuck and a 2000 point card, separately, for Christmas. This will cost a little more than it would to buy the two separately, but this way not only do I save on wrapping paper, but I also free up some prime real estate under the tree. So it kinda evens out, right?
