Product Description:
Namco's Museum 50th Anniversary Collection compiles some of the classic Namco arcade games that defined gaming in the 1980s. Go back in time and play classics like Pac-Man, Galaga, Dig Dug, and Pole Position. Customer Reviews

Great Game - Long on Loading
This game contains the best of the older arcade games and the graphics are pretty good. There is a long loading time for the game and each individual game. If you want to change the settings, i.e., add more men, etc. you have to leave the game and go to the original screen, then to settings. But, compared to Atari Anthology, the graphics are great!

oldskool2000
My husband and I are 50+ we were looking for some games that we used to play in the arcades when we were dating. Some of the games are very lame, and some I never heard of but it was worth buying because I love galaga and he loves dig dug. It also has pacman and mspacman. So all in all it was worth the money

Good Classic Games
I like the classic games on here just the way they were in the 80s. My only wish is that Donkey Kong should have been added.

Games are great, but presentation is lacking...
The games included in this set are great, but the process of navigating the menus and saving your data is VERY annoying. TOO MANY LOADING SCREENS! And besides that, the loading screens take WAY too long for a PS2 title that is this simple (it's not exactly God of War, programming-wise). You sit through a LONG loading screen while the main menu comes up. Then you select your game. Another LONG loading screen. You decide you want to switch games, so you exit the one you are playing. Another LONG loading screen. Plus, let's say you've gotten really good at one of the games, to the point where you're really competitive about your high scores. You turn on the game, you screw up and die on the first screen. "D'oh!" you think to yourself, "I gotta start this one over!" But you can't. You CAN'T reset the game, there's no such option. You have to play through all your lives until you get game over, and THEN re-start. Why? Because the only other option is to select "EXIT GAME," sit through the #$%!%$$!ing loading screen again while you're taken back to the main menu, then RE-SELECT the game, SIT THROUGH THE @#$#$ING LOADING SCREEN AGAIN, and then start over.

Also, you would think a game like this would autosave your high scores, such as other titles from the "anthology genre," like Capcom Classics, Midway Arcade Treasures, or Atari Anthology. But not on this one!!! If you set a new top 10 score or high score, you have to exit the game, sit through the loading screen, and then go into the options screen, and save the scores for that INDIVIDUAL game. That's right, EACH game has its own save requirement, so if you play the game for 2 hours and set high scores on Pac-Man, Galaga, and Dig-Dug, for example, this means you have to scroll back over to Dig-Dug, select the options screen, click "Save," say "Yes" to confirm you want to save, and then scroll around to Pac-Man, do the EXACT SAME THING for Pac-Man, and then do it all over again a third time for Galaga. There's no way to just have the game save everything you've done on all the games so far, which is a real hassle. And over and above the requirement to save each individual game, WHY in the world would it not just autosave? Why on earth, on a title like this, would anyone get a high score and NOT want it saved????

Basically the games themselves are all wonderful classics, all faithful to their original versions as far as I can tell, but a title like this should be optimized for SMOOTH and SEAMLESS transition from game to game; people want to sit down with a title like this, gather their friends around, and take a stroll through a classic virtual arcade and go from game to game! The setup of this game makes that EXTREMELY difficult to do as you and your friends will VERY quickly get tired of sitting through the same ugly overlong loading screen TWICE every single time you want to get in and out of another game, and likely you'll get frustrated and move on to something else before you even have played all the titles on this disc.

LOVE IT~!
It's great, exactly as described and it arrived so quickly. This game is so hard to find even on e-Bay, but here I got it for a great price and it was brand new. I'm planning on buying a back up.

Avoid hot plates, electric shocks and inky turrets to create your own path to the impenetrable I.N.K.T. Fortress. Just remember that the struggle to reclaim Chroma City is to be fought on your terms. Remix the city in your own image using custom paints, patterns and soundtracks. Super-size your blob to attack larger and stronger enemies. Join the Color Revolutionaries to refine your skills while making a mess. The race to rescue Chroma City has just begun, and only de Blob can save the world from a black-and-white future.
Gameplay: de Blob's Primary Goal
de Blob is a 3D platformer where players use the Wii Remote/Nunchuck combo to maneuver their hero, de Blob. Equal parts amorphous blob of paint, struggling artist, revolutionary and juvenile delinquent, de Blob's goal is to replace the drab, lifeless gray coloring that the I.N.K.T. Corporation has imposed on Chroma City and its inhabitants, the Raydians, with a range of vibrant life-giving colors, all the while avoiding and battling the gray-clad forces of the Inkies.
Players must acquire paint and hurl de Blob at the buildings, walls, statues, roads and skies above Chroma City. As de Blob bounces around, adding color wherever he lands, his supply of paint is depleted and he begins to dry out. As this happens players must collect more paint and rehydrate in pools and in front of hydrants scattered across the city. As the game starts access is limited to the colors red, blue and yellow, but these can be blended to create a number of other colors. Being able to create and apply these colors becomes important as Chroma City and its inhabitants come to life, and de Blob makes contact with a range of other characters known as the 'Color Revolutionaries' and receives an increasing amount of missions that charge him with splattering color all over town. Success at these mission gains the player point which drives the game forward, eventually leading to a direct assault on Comrade Black's I.N.K.T. fortress guarded by elite Inky soldiers and massive ink turrets.
Key Game Features:

de Blob - Flip, bounce and paint your way past the all-powerful I.N.K.T. Corporation, as well as a diverse range of multiplayer options. These multiplayer campaigns support up to four players, come with street and sewer maps and include four player split-screen functionality. Just a few of the multiplayer campaigns include:
Paint Match - Paint as many buildings as possible and steal points from opponents by re-painting the buildings that they've already covered.
Blob on the Run - A variation of 'Capture the Flag,' in this mode only one blob can paint and is pursued by opponents who attempt to slam him into submission and gain the ability to paint and accumulate points themselves.
Blob Race - In this mode buildings can only be painted once and are indicated by in-game arrow. With time limited it's a race not only to paint the town but also to keep opponents from doing the same.

Customer Reviews

Wholesome and fun for all ages!
De Blob has been on my (gamer) husband's wish list for a while, so I got him this for an anniversary present. We were pleasantly surprised at how fun the game was, how colorful, and wholesome it was. I even let my six year old niece play it, when I'm usually cautious with video games. It's got a cute storyline, excellent play, and fun animation. My husband loves it.

As always with Amazon, my game got here on time, and still wrapped--perfect condition, as promised.

BEST GAME EVER!!!!
I love it!!! By some mistake I rented this game case thinking it was another one. At first I was totally mad at myself but I give it a try and love it. I ended buying the game. Love the graphics, music, everything!!!! I play it every day

A whole lot of fun..would totally rock if we could save all the hard work in the middle of levels!!
Great game! Relaxing! Fun! Look forward to playing it but it just sucks that you can't save throughout the progression of the game unless you complete the entire level....not cool! I would so rate this game at a solid 5 if it offered a better save option!

One of the most original and engaging games I've ever encountered
I bought this game because it caught my eye on an unrelated visit to BestBuy and I thought it would be a fun game to play with my wife. While it wasn't what I was expecting (a rich multi-player experience), I was blown away by the concept.

It is important to note that I played it for more than an hour and thought "well, it's OK", but it wasn't until I actually understood what was happening that I got to fully appreciate the awesomeness of this game. I'm not sure if I'll do it any justice, but I'll try to describe such awesomeness...

*The story*
You play a blob of paint (appropriately named "Blob"), whose purpose in life is to save the world from evil creatures that suck the color (and fun) from everything around them.

*The gameplay*
You move Blob with the analog stick, target with Z, and jump (and smash) by flicking the wiimote. Your objective is to douse Blob in paint and then splatter everything you can.

*The concept*
This is where it gets interesting. When you first start playing a level, there is silence. You are a clear blob of nothingness (no color yet) and there is a slight "hum" whenever you touch/hit things in this state. As soon as you hit a paintbot and acquire its color, you notice things change drastically. Every time you touch something, it is gracefully splash-painted by your color. Now, that's the obvious part. The AMAZING part is the music. Every time you paint something, a short tune is played with a certain instrument, depending on the color. If you continue painting, the melody goes on. And as you paint more and more stuff, a song starts to take shape. You get drum beats early on and eventually start accumulating base melodies. Before you know it, you have a full on song going, in which you drive a solo in the instrument (...er, color) of your choice!

The music transition is so smooth and natural, that you don't notice it at first. But when you do, you can't help but feel blown away by its ingenuity. As you get the hang of it, you actually start composing, adding tunes here and there from your favorite instrument (I personally favor saxophone red!) and you find yourself immersed in the music, sometimes completely forgetting the story line (luckily, there is a Free Paint mode). And, on top of this, the music is really, REALLY good. It reminds me of the old days when video games were all about the soundtrack (queue in, Mario Bros. tune).

Your accumulated music is only interrupted when you are injured (by the evil inkies), which makes damage that much more dramatic ("Aww, all that work to get the music going!"). But no worries. With enough paint you can get the music back on track.

I hope I was able to adequately express the huge coolness factor this game has. And if I haven't, buy it (or rent it or borrow it or whatever) and see for yourself. You will not be dissappointed.

... Oh, and the graphics are gorgeous!

Outstanding value! Subtle details. Requires commitment
This game is a really welcome addition to our collection because it is fun, playful, and the music is really good. Our six-year-old plays it well, the 3-year-old can watch because there's nothing violent or bad in it, and mom and dad sneak in and and play it ourselves after the kids go to bed. The other reviews cover a lot of basics, so I'll highlight a few things I think are unique and then amplify a few other comments.

The music is really great. It's not grating or irritating. Most importantly, you'll almost never hear the same music twice. As you paint, the game throws in little accents and extras in the music. It's a really subtle and awesome fusion of the physical motion, visual painting, and audio soundtrack. Don't paint for a while? The sound track will be quiet and steady. Go on a painting streak, changing colors and painting everything in sight? The guitar solo and horn section will kick in. Very cool.

I like the controls because they're a little different. Shaking the controller to jump, instead of just pressing A, is neat. It puts some physicality into the idea of "jumping." You have to learn to time it just right, but that's OK. I also like how they pretty much use the same concept "Z, then jump" for most actions. Very simple.

I will amplify what other parents have said, though. You can put in a good hour on one of these levels before you hit a save point. If your schedule or your parenting style doesn't allow your kids to sit for 90 minutes, you may run into some disappointment. My six-year-old got through the first two levels ("Last Resort" and "Uptown") in one sitting each, but "Downtown" is just too big. Given our household limits on Wii time, he has to "save" up his Wii time to give himself a long session to get through it. There's a good lesson for him here, but it makes this game (which he loves) tough to progress in.

I'm a bit annoyed at all the little cut scenes and pop-up conversations with the various Color Underground characters. Even if you've been through a level many times, they still pop up and tell you basic techniques. So, for example, if you're going through the first level to try to get 100% on a bunch of things, it will still stop and tell you how to mix paint, even though you've completed many levels. I've also had movies interrupt me (e.g., unlocking a gate) when I was in a really dangerous place (e.g., standing on deactivated hot plates). When the cut-scene showing the gate unlock is done, I find myself on fire because the hot plates have activated while I was watching the movie. Ouch!

I highly recommend the game for its fun, unique, and cheerful play. You just have to lookout for how long it takes at each session.

Also if you use turbo with a rapid fire gun the rate of fire is less than if you were not useing turbo. Turbo works good with running and thats about all. This is only a 4 axis controller, I found on line a smoother 6 axis controller for about the same price as this one you just have to look a little more

Very good so far...
This is a decent turbo controller for a ps3. It gives you three type of turbo, slow pace into a fast pace. it also gives you the option to make the sensitively of the thumb stick fast or slow. it does have a ps button but does not turn the ps3 on but still better than none.it can turn all buttons into turbo mode except for the 'select'-'ps'-'start' buttons. it also has a battery saver mode, where it can automatically turn it self off automatically if not touch in a set amount of time. i played some call of duty 4 and it works very good for shooting very fast which sometimes gives you the upper hand, but the down side is that the controller doesn't feel right, its shape is rather too big and the thumb stick is rather too small and feels somewhat like the first controller of the regular xbox,(yea the big bulky one) and the ps2 controller combined together. I don't know why people says it doesn't work for ps1 and ps2 games, but mine works for my ps2 games so far, but i haven't tried it for ps1 games because i don't have any ps1 games, maybe it depends on what version your ps3 is. Mine is the first original 80 gb that came out with motorstorm. If your using this controller for fighting i don't recommend it, because the keypad doesn't respond well when pressed. It feels like delayed about half a second or less before it can respond, but still playable if you can get use to it. it also works on your pc games if the game have the keypad controller option, i used my on halo for the pc and it works very good, better than i expected. Overall its an okay turbo controller with some minor flaws, that works for my ps3 and ps2 games.

like it all but the small sticks but got use to
i love the whole thing but the small sticks and i got use to fas i wouldnt give it a five just couse of them but i give it a 4 for everything else!!!

Well???
Playstation 3 HORI PAD 3 Turbo Wireless - Silver

I just bought the controller and I am having some problems with it. I got it with one purpose and that is to play call of duty 5 world at war. The turbo feature works good for the first clip or so for the gun's. After that I am not sure if the game itself recognizes your using a turbo controler or if the controller itself is giving me problems, but it will still fire like an automatic weapon, but very slow. I could shot faster without it. The aiming is someone difficult to and the other buttons are slow to react. Right now, I have mixed feelings about it. I wouldn't recommed to anyone. So far I believe it has been more frustrating then enjoyable.

great controller
i been useing this for 6 months.ITS GREAT. i got it for COD4 it worked good bt now that i have COD5 i get much more out of this controller since so many guns are single shot its a must have for any one who plays COD5

Customer Reviews

MUST HAVE if your TV supports it.
This is the difference between a hard-to-see picture and one that's extremely high quality. I suggest buying from eForcity because they have by far the best price. It works perfectly, just as good as the official cable, and it's a hell of a lot cheaper. Really, if your TV supports it, you NEED this. You'll be amazed at the difference, even before you switch to progressive scan mode.

Please note some older CRT displays with component input don't support progressive scan, so they'll get a black picture if you use them with it, but you'll still get an excellent picture WITHOUT progressive scan. It's just not as good.

Seller does not send product advertised or respond to email!!
Do not buy anything from this seller (Mycarryingcase). The product listed is composite and s-video cable for Nintento Wii. Seller will send you a component cable and never respond to your attempts to fix the error. The only good thing about this transaction is that it was a cheap error on my part to ever buy anything from this seller and as such it is hardly worth my time to even write this review. At least this may serve as a warning to others thinking about buying more expensive items from this seller. BE CAREFUL - YOU MAY NOT GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!!!!!!!!!

Must have for HD Televisions!
I bought this thinking it really wouldn't make much of a difference, boy was I wrong! I have a 32" flat screen Phillips HDTV, with the standard cables I couldn't read the text on the screen, after it was clear as day. For the people saying it doesn't make a difference, you have to go into the Wii Settings screen and choose the EDTV option.

Great product, great price!
Great product for instead of from Nintendo. Works perfectly. Just remember to change your video setting on the Wii to take advantage of the composite connection. Fast shipment and terrific price!

Got what I paid for
Did everything I had to do to set this cable up with the wii system and TV. To be honest, it didn't make that much of an improvment. I have a top of the line plasma tv, should have gotten top of the line cables, I guess. Really don't think that would have made it any bettr either, though. That's just the way it is, unfortunatly.
