Simply terrible
If you have some sort of vendetta against your eyes and a complete lack of appreciation even the lowest bar for image quality, you have located the perfect product. If you actually intend to use your Xbox360 for anything other than excruciating self-torture stay away! The image produced by this cable is blurry, full of ghosting and washed out.

Great for LAN parties, computer monitors (and the price)
I have a 19" acer middle-of-the-pack widescreen I use for LAN parties. I almost didn't get this cable because the negative reviews. I've been using it a month, and have not seen anything glaringly horrible. MW2 looks just fine using it. BUT, I have NOT tried this on a larger TV. So perhaps that is where the negative reviews are coming from.

X-Box360 Video Cable - Needs F-F VGA Adapter
The XBox360 video/audio adapter cable worked great once we purchased the appropriate adapters from Radio Shack and a local computer store. The VGA cable has male contacts (which you can't see in the images). This is great if you have a monitor with a VGA socket connector, such as many LCD displays have. However, most CRTs have only a male-ended cable, which means you'll need a female-to-female VGA (miniDSUB-15) adapter to connect it (like this: [...]which should cost about . If you want to plug in to your computer or use a PC sound system, you'll also need an adapter to get from the the two RCA male plugs to a stereo 1/8" (3.5mm) plug or jack. These might run you [...]The adapter also has an S/PDIF optical audio output (aka. TOSLINK or EIAJ), but we did not check to see if it works.

Terrible Cable - Get the Real Deal Instead
Like others have said, this cable is awful. There is MAJOR ghosting and poor picture quality. Yeah, the "official" cable is twice as much, but why bother at all if you're not going to try to get a descent picture? The real cable works.

the product is not actually the one in the picture, it is green and white and is actually an off brand... i was slightly dissapointed, but it works fine so i am satisfied.

Does its job
The component inputs on my monitor failed, so I began looking for a different way to hook my Xbox 360 up. A friend recommended a VGA adapter, so I found this one. It actually looks better than the component cables did. The only minor gripe I have is that the video seems to generate very faint artifacts, but as I said they are very faint, only really visible on entirely black screens, and even then only if you are looking for them. If you are playing your Xbox 360 on a monitor instead of a TV, I heartily recommend this.

Note- the review system seems to believe this item is a game. I was asked to give a "fun" rating and an "overall" rating. As it is just a cable, I've rated it 1 star for fun, but my overall rating for the product is 5 stars.

Perfect!
These cables are excellent! Works great. Was able to hook my 360 up to my monitor in only a few seconds. Great picture quality on my 21 inch Dell LCD. No lines or flickering that you get with a lot of generic VGA cables. Microsoft brand is the way to go. Also supports a wide range of resolutions. Was able to get 1080p outta my monitor.

product came within two days and in the condition promised. very happy with purchase. I bought this cable from the recommendation of a friend cause I bought a new flat screen to play call of duty and it just didnt seem like it was playing right. it kinda seemed like the tv was too fast for the game. I know that sounds weird but its hard to explain. after I hooked up this cable things seemed a lot better and my scores came back to what they were on the old tv. If you have this kind of trouble I highly recommend you try this cable.(if your tv has a pc hookup)

All the Hookup you need...
I recently moved back to the States from Canada and found myself without much in the way of home electronics. I had a laptop and an Xbox360, and a Bose sound dock, and that was about it. So I went TV shopping.

What I found was a nice, 23" HP monitor for 0 less than the 21" LCD TV's. It had HDMI and VGA inputs. I bit the bullet and purchased the monitor. I'm glad I did. My laptop is a newer HP and supports HDMI out, so for television, I hook up the HDMI and browse to Hulu.

My Xbox 360 is an older version, though, and does not have HDMI out, so I had to pick up this cable. The one thing I disliked was the price tag, but, as the old saying goes: you get what you pay for. Xbox360 aside, Microsoft is well known for building quality hardware, and this cable is no exception. It's sturdy! It did take a bit of work to get the monitor's resolution to take, but I figured this was an issue somewhere between the 360 and my monitor, not necessarily a problem with the cable.

What's nice about the cable is that it provides the same optical out that the standard component cable has. Also, it includes an RCA to digital adapter, so was able to get stereo sound to the AUX port of my Sound dock, out of the box (though my sound dock sits on a different shelf so I had to get a few extra parts to bridge the gap).

Image quality is going to depend on the monitor you're connecting to. Mine looks good. The only complaint I have is my monitor's blacks are too bright (they come out kinda grey), but this is the tradeoff, I suppose. I played for several years on a 32" LCD tv and at the end of the day, I'm happy playing Xbox on my 0 23" monitor.
