Nice Addition for Die Hard NFL Fans
These are simply wonderful controllers; from the feel of the controller in your hands to the great logos of your favorite teams. The extra long cable and added vibration are appreciated features. Mad Catz has moved the Start, Select and Mode buttons to the top and bottom of the controller. The Start and Select buttons are located between the shoulder buttons while the Mode button is directly opposite on the bottom. The D-Pad can be a little sensitive but nothing you can't get used to. Again, a good feeling quality controller. For all of us NFL junkies who are proud to show our teams colors, well worth the extra buck or two. For the casual fan it's just a controller and might not be worth the extra investment.

Great Controller, Even Better Price!
Controller came exactly as described. The price is outstanding!! Might want to check into the rechargeable battery packs because these controllers tend to "eat up" the 2 AA batteries required.

Best Xbox 360, Windows controller I've used
The official Microsoft Xbox 360 controller is simply the best controller for the Xbox that I've used. I've tried the 3rd-party controllers, from Mad Catz and others, and they just don't feel as good, and aren't as responsive.

This controller is also the best gamepad for use with a computer, provided you have the wireless usb receiver that comes with the "for Windows" version of the controller. As more and more games natively support the Xbox controller, and natively show the buttons for abilities, just like you'd see on the Xbox 360, the Xbox has replaced my other gamepads. It's just easier to use, and feels like it was made for the system. I bought 2 standard wireless controllers, and 2 "for Windows" wireless controllers, so now I have a dongle for each computer, and 4 controllers that can be quickly synched to either computer or the Xbox.

Comfort wise, I didn't like the Xbox controller at first, having been used to Sony's PS2 controller. Now that I have both Xbox and PS3 controllers, and use both regularly, I find the Xbox controller to be much more ergonomic, more comfortable to hold, and more comfortable to use. The controller lets you naturally wrap your hands around it, and the triggers are a pleasure to squeeze, where as the PS3 controller now feels un-natural, and the triggers are a little annoying.

Performance wise, this wireless controller uses the 2.4GHz wireless range, the same as most cordless headsets, 802.11b/g wireless networks, and even the same as some microwaves. I haven't had any problems with at my house, but 2 of my friends have constant problems with controllers disconnecting mid-play. Sometimes it's just an annoyance, but sometimes it happens so often that it's unbearable. The PS3 controller's bluetooth connection avoids these problems, and is much faster to start up and connect.

One can only hope that Sony adopts Microsoft's ergonomic styling for the Dualshock 4 controllers, and Microsoft adopts Sony's bluetooth connection for the Xbox 720 controllers.

Great controller but battery could be better.
Hey all this is Sam AKA Para in the gaming review community. This is one of many gaming reviews I will be starting for Amazon, so I hope you enjoy. Going to be talking about the Xbox 360 Limited Edition Red Wireless Controller and Play & Charge Kit which I have to say feels well. It is sort of light but durable. After playing for long hours I notice no pain in my hands, just the way the designed this controller it just fits right in your hands and is not stressing out you muscles or having you to curve your hands around it just to hold it. The vibration feedback is very well and is not super strong that it feels like a back massager or making your hands go numb, but it is not also so weak that you cannot even feel it. It gives just the right amount. The triggers are in just the right position and have the perfect lift to them for easy access. The joy sticks are perfectly assessable and once again do not strain your hands trying to use them. Battery life is not the best though, it could use a slight improvement but that is minor. I suggest if you don't need the vibration to turn it off and save battery. Overall the controller is very nice and easy to use. Good work Microsoft for changing the hamburger shaped Xbox controller to this much easier to handle one. Hope this review helps and look forward for my other game reviews.

Great controller
This controller works excellently and feels better in the hands than the one that comes with the XBOX.

ps3 wired controller
the controller is alright the buttons are clunky and the joy sticks are hard, they get stuck. but i guess you get what you pay for.

ok, but not perfect
This contoller only works on simpler games (star wars republic hero is one) but the more complex games like Ghost Recon and Final Fantasy, it is more glitchy on. The game just doesn't read the signals right and it isn't really worth playing. We find it a nice option for our children who want to play and they know the difference between a control that is plugged in and one that is not :) And it is inexpensive, so we don't have to worry about them breaking a controller that costs a bunch. Be careful what you are buying it for, since you really won't know what games it will work on until you try it.

PS3 controller
At first I was really happy with this product , I got it for my son for Christmas. it was priced cheap and was here in time for christmas..... But after my son started to use the controller, it has already fell apart and broke...... the thumb controllers will not work at all,,,,,, so overall was a total waste of money.

Please, I beg you to reconsider buying this!
This is the single worst controller I have ever used. First off, it's so light and cheap in your hands that it feels like it will break. The cord is so painfully short that you nearly have to sit with the system in your lap (it's maybe 18 inches long; shorter than the recharge cable for the system). The buttons don't visibly appear to stick, but their functions inside do. When you press a button while playing a game, there's a fair chance that it will stick and your character will keep doing the pressed action, like jumping (for a face button) or turning (for one of the joysticks). If you press more than one button at a time, the controller barely seems capable of handling multiple functions and one of them just might not work. I was playing Trine and about 80% of the time I couldn't jump or move at the same time. I had to choose one or the other! Also, sometimes it would seemingly lose it's connection to the PS3 even with the cord plugged completely in; it would just lose the signal. I know it's not the PS3, because I just bought it brand new a week and a half ago and the Dualshock 3 that came with it and the second Dualshock 3 that I bought work like a dream.

I purchased this so I could have a third controller without shelling out like I did for the second one, but no. No. This piece of junk isn't even worth (asin:B001F36E2E).99. At least with (asin:B001F36E2E).99 you could buy a burrito at Taco Bell and that would assuredly be the better value. Trust me when I say that you're better off with no controllers than with this one. It's a huge waste of money and will only serve to infuriate you. I am seriously going to look into some quality control issues on Amazon to see if you can get products banned, because this -should NOT- be on the market. It may as well be considered theft.

WTF was i thinking?!
The one time I make a purchase without 1st reading reviews, and it really bit me in the ass. Can't remember the last I was so disappointed in an amazon purchase. Of course, the obvious complaint about the controller is the lack of the PS button, but it also plays stiff as hell!!! You practically fracture your thumbs trying to use the thing effectively. I'd love to have been able to send the thing right back, but I let my temper get the best of me and ended up shattering the thing in frustration...
I guess it's really my own fault for neglecting to read reviews, and being blinded by the cheap price. damn though, times are hard!!!
I guess the moral of the story is, if something looks to good to be true...well, you know the rest.

Still the best all around package.
NONE of the guitar controllers available for Guitar Hero/Rock Band games get it all right. All of them have drawbacks and you have to pick your poison, but the old GH2 controller gets my vote for the least amount of trouble overall. It's wired, it doesn't have solo buttons or anything fancy, it's a bit smaller than other controllers, the clicking is pretty loud, but it's durable, reliable, and easy to play. The only serious flaw besides not being wireless is that when playing online there will be a constant hum emanating from any headset plugged into this controller (even when the headset is muted!)

guitar hero 2 guitar controller
Very pleased with purchase. The first controller I purchased broke within 4 days of receiving it. I contacted the seller through Amazon and I was immediately sent a replacement - no questions. Thank you for a very satisfying Amazon purchase!

My "X-Ploration" with the X-Plorer
Before I explain my thoughts on this guitar, I should explain what my past experiences with other guitars have been.

I used to play a little on my sister's Guitar Hero III, where I became fairly competent on Expert, using the guitar that was bundled with that. My only recollection with that blasted thing was how easily it fell apart.

Fast forward to a few months ago...
Not having a TV (much less a modern console), I mostly play guitar hero on my little laptop. I was searching for a good controller that would work well on my PC and found the PS3 RB Stratocaster. For the first few months, I was satisfied with its performance, but noticed how the "Rock Band" style strummer really didn't work for certain sections of different songs. It failed to give me reassurance that my strumming pattern was accurate whatsoever.

Then recently, I played with a friend using their World Tour guitar for the 360. It had been over a year since I played a Guitar Hero guitar and I had forgotten how it felt. The strummer with that guitar was amazing, and I had fallen in love with it. The frets, however, were a nightmare. They were further apart, and gave a lot of resistance that felt like they were being supported with heavy springs. It ached the back of my hand to try to play before long, and I noticed my performance going down the toilet because of it. So this little affair wasn't going to work.

Finally, I decided to search online for popular guitar hero guitars, ones that had a nice "clicky" stummer to it that would give me reassurance, and buttons that weren't as resistant as the World Tour one and not quite as clicky as the Stratocaster. That's where I ran into the X-Plorer, seeing how popular it was amongst players, particularly for its durability.

After some searching, I found a place where I could buy a new one more cheaply than I could online and rushed it home in excitement.

The first thing I noticed about this guitar was its size. The X-Plorer is about 5/6 the size of the Stratocaster, and about 2/3 the size of my electric guitar, and it felt funny to hold. But I knew it was something I'd get used to (and I have), and thought nothing of it.

I had downloaded all the drivers for using the 360 controller on my PC just prior, so as soon as I plugged the X-Plorer in I was ready to play. The length of the cord didn't bother me, as I was playing on the PC where I have to be a little closer to see the screen.

My scores didn't drastically change, but playing felt more fluid and natural with the softer frets. I loved the feel in comparison to the last two guitars I had tried. The strummer was a little louder than I anticipated, and I noticed that instead of helping me keep the beat, my ears paid more attention to the beat I was making with the strummer than on the game, and occasionally went into a bad pace because of it. This was easily fixed by playing with my headphones on, so I could enjoy the feel without worrying about the sound.

The star power works beautifully on this guitar. On the stratocaster, I'd have to angle the guitar almost vertically and shake it for star power to activate. With the X-Plorer, a good tilt is well enough, without being oversensitive about it.

The one major thing that bothers me about the X-Plorer is its placement of Start/Back and arrow buttons. Not only are they hard to reach with your fingers without moving your hand, but they are located right where I would naturally rest the lower corner of my hand when playing, resulting in accidentally hitting Start+Down+Start randomly in the middle of a song, and making me start from the beginning. For that, the X-Plorer gets 4 stars rather than 5.

guitar hero 2 controller
I'm very disappointed in this company that handled this product! They had sent the wrong guitar controller, and I had to sent it back. But it was at my cost of .30, in which they would only give me back .99 for the shipping! So I had to pay out of pocket .00 for the mistake they had made! Which I think they should have paid the whole thing being it was their mistake!!Now to top it off, I am now not even getting the controller. They had refunded me the money for it! I have a son that is very upset that he is not even getting his controller that he ordered!! So I paid 8 dollars for something that we didn't even get!! How great is that?? As you see I'm very disappointed and that concerns me from ever ordering anything from them again! They have not responed to my email about having this taking care of,besides letting me know that they would only pay the .99 for shipping!!

guitar hero controller for xbobx
This was great. I was expecting it to be the guitar in the photo though. It turned out to be better actually, because I bought this for my boyfriend and with xbox you can only have 2 controllers plugged in...? So he needed a wireless guitar, which I didn't know. When the guitar got here and we opened it, IT WAS WIRELESS!
That should have been in the description, but I'm very happy with it. =]

Unusable and aggravating
This controller does not connect to the ps3 via Blutooth. It uses a small usb adapter. To connect, you must push a series of buttons on the usb receiver and the controller, which never works correctly on the first try. I can confirm that the R1 and L1 buttons must be mashed down to sense the push (Tested using Uncharted). The triggers have an empty and loose feel when you press them and my right trigger squeaks every time. Just do not buy this controller for any reason because it's terrible, and if you cant afford the Sony brand, there are far superior controllers by reliable companies like Mad Catz.

garbage
The controller is very hard to connect you have to go through multiple steps just to get it to work [...] The controls are stiff and unresponsive. I bought this since it was the only one at the store with a turbo function. The turbo key is a nuisance you don't know which button is on turbo and is hard getting them to turn on and off. Also this is not turbo hold just turbo, which means i wasted my money and it will sit in a box till my other controllers break.

Great Controller FOR COD:WaW...A little too stiff on the R1/L1 though...
Got this at Target for on clearance. Since I play COD:WaW with this controller, I can't say the same for other games. I like it. Controller works. The sticks a little stiff but does the job. Online gaming, the right stick was a bit unresponsive but maybe because I haven't broken it in yet. I like the RF connector on teh ps3, it doesn't look like a regular USB plug, it camouflage itself well. I can definitely see myself buying another one (for ) and have only ONE official ps3 controller. COD seem to have broken the left stick on both my official ps3 controller.

MY problem is with the R1/L1 button. Aiming with the L1, I can't just lightly tap it, I have to hold it down firm. Lightly tapping it down, my player would aim for 2 - 3 sec and release the aim. If I held it down tight, it doesn't happen. Maybe it needs to be broken in too. Same thing with the R1. Sometime, my firing would cease and I have to repeatedly tap the R1 button. Great with semi and/or single shot, BAD with auto and machine gun.

My FIX: Change the button layout from Default to Default Flip (xbox360 config) which change the aim/shoot to the trigger and swap teh grenades to R1/L1. The triggers were awesome.

Will update soon regarding R1/L1 sensitivity. (Oh yeah, I try changing the game sensitivity up but that got me dizzy. LOL. Back to medium sensitivity).

Pretty Darn Good
Yes this controller does not have six axis control (who cares) or rumble (would have been nice) but what it does have is a much better feel than the dualshock 3. The bigger controller reminds me a lot more of the much superior xbox 360 controller. The L2 and R2 triggers are way better than the ones on the dualshock. The spring action feels right and your fingers dont slip off of them. Also the sticks are stiffer and feel more accurate for fps and racing games. Im very impressed with it. In their next version if they add rumble then they will have the perfect controller. As is I give it a 4.5.

Had the potential to be great!!
NO RUMBLE and NO SIXAXIS. I don't understand why Psyclone didn't include at least the rumbling feature. A lot of people where blasting sony for not including it in the original sixaxis. Really disappointing because I really like the way it feels in my hand and the triggers. The triggers are some of the best designed on any controller in my opinion. They move so smoothly. They offer hardly any resistance. Kind of reminds me of my Springfield XD 45 in a way. I wish I could take the insides of the dualshock and put them in this controller. It would be perfect for me. It also has a on/off switch which is nice. The aluminum on the controller feels really nice especially if its cold. I would keep this controller if it just had rumble in it. I can do without the sixaxis but not the rumble. Psyclone had a good idea with this item but just failed to out do the dualshock. The analog sticks are stiffer then sony's but I actually found myself enjoying their stiffness. If you don't need the rumbling feature or sixaxis then this would be a great product for you. Oh yeah this is a RF controller so it won't turn on your PS3 but it does have a home button.

Wii gun
Bought this for my son as the vibrating feature sounded fun & it looked easy to operate....However the gun is awful. You have to press down on the wii remote while it is in place in the gun to make it work & it really is NOT functional! Spend a bit more money & get a better gun.
