Best I could probably get
This cable is doing the job. Unfortunately, the connectors on the component video outputs are WAY too tight - I was barely able to get them on to the back of my television without causing damage. But, since I was buying a cable for an original Xbox, which has been obsolete for a number of years now, there were not many great options available.

Goodness
Yes, this cable is the shiz-nit. It work extremely well (at least in comparison to my unnamed cable i had before this one.
Old one: Terrible picture - i use my Xbox on my monitor (25.5", 16:10, 1080p, 1920x1200) as it has component input and there was a black box around my picture and a fair amount of the picture was kinda fuzzy, like hard to tell one object from another.
New one: Great picture ANNDDDD no black box. full screen. My PS2 doesn't even do full screen w/ its component cable plugged in (but it doesn't have an HD option in its settings so that might be why.) The picture is also immensely better aka no more fuzzy.

Clean, crisp image. Don't settle for cheap component cables.
I bought a ~ component cable for original Xbox from a vendor on Amazon. They worked, but the image was terrible. I could clearly see interference in image, the cables were simply not well shielded. I decided to look for some better cables so I bought a used set of Monster Component cables for Xbox from another Amazon vendor. These cables are awesome. The difference is astounding. Now I know usually cables are overpriced, so I'm not telling everyone to go run out and drop big cash on cables. Just keep in mind that you sometimes DO get what you paid for. I have learned to do more research in the future before buying. Had a read a few more reviews I would have learned about the bad shielding on the cheap cables before buying, and I could have saved my . Again, the Monster component cables for Xbox are of excellent quality, and the image, even in XBMC 720p or 1080i is just crystal clear.

So close, but yet so far.
This cable set is nearly perfect. The cable quality is fantastic and the actual jacket for the cable has a nylon net that keeps it from snagging and tangling. This cable also includes the connection for the optical cable accessory. The one, unforgivable problem is the connectors. They are so ridiculously tight, that you run the risk of breaking off the rca connectors on your TV or receiver. I have tried two of these units, and both were the same. Do not purchase this!!!

Vast improvement in clarity
I don't really know specifics on HD, but this product did a tremendous job in upping the quality of the resolution for my 37" 720p LCD tv. If you've ever played an Xbox game like Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind on an LDC screen without a component cable, you might've noticed the gray-ish colors and fuzzy picture you get.
The first thing I notice is how easy the plastic packaging opened up (unlike similar item packages- like the Sony brand PS2 cable), so no scissors required. And after taking it out, the cable itself is heavy duty. It almost reminded me of something the army might use with how heavy duty.
With these cables, the difference really is like night and day... like going from vhs to dvd. The quality is so crisp on Morrowind that it actually picks up the square edge pixels from the 128-bit graphics (you'll really notice them on the saved file thumb nails and text--like the opening credits) and that's not really a bad thing. The color quality also is enhanced, as well as the black levels and contrast. I do use a home theater surround sound system when I play games, but my system is crap so I can't really tell if there is a difference in audio. I hear the audio doesn't really improve unless you get the optical audio cables, but let's be honest... that's not really why I got the component cable.
Definitely worth the , plus like more for the 2 day shipping that actually came the next day. I've only had this a day, so I haven't found anything to complain about yet other than the extremely snug fit into the back of my tv.
So,
Pros: Easy-to-open package, improved, crisp resolution and more vibrant color; heavy-duty quality cable; fast shipping; better quality than Sony PS2 component
Cons: Tight fit into tv (but is that a con? won't slip out that way, right?); wished it was less expensive
I definitely recommend it if you're looking for quality.
Also, can't wait to play Halo with it...
